Biography

Canadian born and bred, at a young age I felt the need to move south… no matter how much I loved skiing. After completing my university degree I decided to go south to Costa Rica, where I planned to learn one of my life goals of surfing. After months of surfing and being a beach bum I broke my ribs jumping off a water falls. This prohibited me from continuing surfing until my ribs were fully healed. Luckily yoga was big in the surf community I lived in. I had never tried yoga, and I was the least flexible person I knew. Since I couldn´t surf, at the time, I put my heart and soul into Ashtanga yoga and it has been 10 years of growing with my practice. It has allowed me to become stronger w my surfing and more at ease with everyday challenges. Yoga helped me heal through this major body trauma and it has helped me get through many challenging times in my life.
I have been very fortunate in my life, and feel gratitude for sharing yoga with others daily. I took my first teacher training in 2006 with Baptiste  Level 1 Bootcamp, since then I have completed my level 2 and received my yoga alliance 200RYT & RPYT certification.

As I entered into the next chapter of my life I decided to further my yoga training while i was pregnant with Matrika Prenatal Yoga. After hard work and a new born i received my RPYT. The Yoga Mama community has been growing in the Cayman Islands and has created its own supported community.

Yoga over these years has allowed me to become much more aware of my internal body, health and wellbeing. I have over 10 years experience in teaching also in Prenatal yoga, Hot and Vinyasa flow. Join me for a unique mind, body, and soul experience in the the Cayman Islands.
